On Saturday, November 3, Boston residents who participated in the BPHC’s NeighborWalk program met at Franklin Park Zoo. These walking groups increased their physical activity level by walking in local parks or exploring new routes to walk in their own neighborhoods.
Twelve walking groups from all over the city came out for this annual event that included an awards ceremony a guided walk led by a parker staffer. Now we can all say we took a Safari together ending up in the Outback pavilion, where we celebrated the diversity of the walking groups in age and language. We are grateful for the walk members who translated the program into Chinese and Spanish!
Special congratulations to the oldest NeighborWalk member who is 88 and still walking strong!
