Save the date!

Dorsey Levens, formerly of the the Green Bay Packers produced BELL RUNG a documentary about the high price athletes pay to play professional football. Levens interviewed both current and former NFL players about concussions and the effects on them and  their families. The documentary also shows the impact at high school level.

The screening takes place Thursday, October 18 at Blackman Auditorium on the campus of  Northeastern University and is free and open to the public. Click here for more information

Levens will attend the screening and speaking on a panel. Joining Dorsey Levens on the panel are Taylor Twellman, star Forward on the New England Revolution; Dan Lebowitz, Executive Director of Northeastern’s Sport In Society program; and Dr. Neal McGrath, a neuropsychologist who specializes in the evaluation and rehabilitation of traumatic brain injuries at Sports Concussion New England.  The panel will be moderated by nationally known sportswriter Ron Thomas, who has been writing about race and sports since the 1970s.
