The Boston EMS SafeKids Car Seat program is kicking off Child Passenger Safety Week by participating in Old Navy’s Safety Day.

On Saturday, September 16, stop by for a free car seat check by Boston EMS from 1pm to 5pm at the Old Navy in the South Bay Shopping Center, just off Massachusetts Ave in Dorchester.

During the car seat check, we help parents put seats in and inspect seats that have already been installed. The car seat program will also have a table inside Old Navy so a car seat technician can answer questions and provide safety information. And, the Red Cross will be there with a blood drive van.

Did you know?? At least 8 out of 10 children in a child safety seat are not buckled in properly. Car crashes remain one of the leading causes of death for young children. Unrestrained or improperly restrained children are far more likely to be injured, or to suffer more severe injuries in the event of a crash. Make it a priority to have your child’s seat buckled in right.
