As part of Mayor Thomas M. Menino’s Boston Moves for Health program, Fitness on the Plaza will now include FREE after-work Cardio Kickboxing classes by Healthworks Fitness Center for Women on Thursday evenings from 5:00pm to 6:00pm starting September 6.

Fitness on the Plaza, scheduled to end Labor Day weekend, has been extended by popular demand. Other classes include bootcamp and Zumba®. Click here for a complete schedule of events

What: Cardio Kickboxing Classes on the Plaza
When:  Thursday nights, 5:00pm – 6:00pm (Sept. 6 – Sept. 27)
Where: City Hall Plaza at Government Center (weather permitting)
Who’s teaching: Kate from Healthworks Fitness Centers
What you need to bring: Comfortable clothing, athletic footwear, water bottle, towel (optional)

Cardio Kickboxing by Healthworks Fitness Center for Women is a high-intensity cardio workout that engages and tones all muscle groups. During the class, participants will enhance their agility and strength with kick, punch, and jab drills, all while listening to great music.

All Fitness on the Plaza participants are encouraged to keep track of their physical activity, weight-loss goals, and progress at BostonMovesForHealth.org.
